[PODCAST] How to start a user research interview

I recently sat down with my good friend and User Research expert Ivanka and asked her how she starts user interviews.

I've been talking to as many users of my app as I can over the last few months but these remote conversations can often start out quite awkward, and I'm not always sure what I'm trying to achieve.

Don't get me wrong, I usually have a great chat and come out feeling inspired, but I wanted to pick Ivanka's brains for strategies on starting those calls as smoothly as possible.

This is the second episode of our new podcast Can You See My Screen and in future episodes we'll go into more depth on planning and executing these interviews, along with other remote-teaching and video conferencing subjects.

If you don't want to watch the whole conversation, it's well-summarised in the show notes where you can also find a link to subscribe to the audio podcast.

Honestly, this is a new format for us and I'm not thrilled with how these first videos look! But the production will definitely improve over time, and the content's still good.

What do you think? Did you learn anything? Or is there anything you'd add?

Thank you! I'm afraid it's gone quiet for now but there are a few good episodes in the back catalog.
