Podrest: Turn your reading list into podcasts

Landing page: https://www.getpodrest.com/

Hi. I recently redesigned whole pages and am happy to hear general feedbacks. I'd like to know
a) if you understand my product well
b) what makes you stop from signing up
c) general UIUX feedback (fontsize, spacing, copywriting clarity)

or anything you want to tell! Thank you!

Thanks @watanabe! What you are saying is very interesting. I'd like to find out more about your hiring experience. Can we take it offline? max@onebro.me

Re WHY section - I just wanted to scroll through to the next section because I was already sold on the idea and wanted the detail on HOW.

Did you drop just because seeing WHY section, not How section that shows up by scrolling more? That's too extreme.
Sorry I can't talk offline. We live far away.

Hey @watanabe, it's a good idea. I definitely have a backlog of reading material I'd rather listen to.

I would drop the WHY section. If someone has this problem it will just click. If they don't you are unlikely to convert them anyway.

What I wanted to know is how it works. Do you just resell content from audible.com? Is it a voice generator reading a blog? Does it have to be a book?
I think all that can be explained with one or two sentences and a few examples.

Note, it's not always possible to play an audio. I see sample, but I can't play it because I'll wake up the rest of the household. Could be an office situation. Got to be a way of explaining it without having to listen.

If the above was of value I'd appreciate feedback on search functionality of stackmuncher.com. It is very confusing and I need external input to get unstuck.

I understand your project as "a tool to recruit software engineers" and at the same time I also wondered why I should choose this product other than a number of recruiting tools.
Also, I was surprised to see so many number of engineers looking for jobs because usually indie hacker projects are very young and early (I assume it scrapes in a way).
I have recruited some engineers by posting job application forms, but I haven't used a directory of engineers. I feel It's really hard to pick up people to interview. They look very alike. It might help to talk to recruiters and help them with your services. In my previous companies, I didn't ask about techstacks because it is what engineers should learn. It is not what certifications neither qualifications. Also, a techstack a company uses can change often, so I wanted to hire somebody who can learn quickly and utilise it.

Thank you for the comment! What did you feel when you read why section?
I use text to speech API by Google. I don't resell audible. Thank you. I'll take them in consideration.
I'll check your site and leave you a comment.
