I've been experimenting with the pomodoro technique and time boxing variants to increase my productivity.
In the end it seems like the most productivity comes from whatever gets me into the flow.
What time management technique do you use to ship product?
I use a combo - pomodoro, timeboxing, and flow.... If that makes sense.
I first used pomdoro to find my flow period. I started with 25m, 5m and increased until I burned out. I ended with 4hr, 5m every 25m.
After finding that, now I timebox 4 hours every day to work on my project.
I like this method because it's easy to keep myself accountable and easy to create a routine.
Figuring out how to keep yourself accountable is insanely important. That's awesome - it's similar to what I do.
I find once I'm in the flow I don't want to leave so I like to have a deep focus work block for 2-4/hr.
A ~15 minute break and then 2 more hours.
I use both Pomodoro and Time Boxing.
