Posting content to your blog β‰  promoting the content πŸ™ƒ

Posting content is - as the name suggests - posting content.

Sure you might have a few RSS readers, but that's about it.

Come to think of it, do people still use RSS readers? πŸ€”

If you want your content to reach a wider audience...

You must actively promote it β€” social media, SEO, existing subscribers, paid campaigns, etc.

I promote my content via Twitter, FB groups, and subscribers + customers.

How do you promote your content?

Posting content is equal to publishing a social media post, blog post, website pages, videos, podcasts etc.

Promoting content is equal to email campaigns, boost posts, paid media, sending your content via whatsapp.

    I hope this is clear!

Yes, there are still people using RSS readers. Why? Because you can keep track of your favourite blogs/podcasts directly.

They're certainly in the minority, though.

Definitely agree -- in content marketing, we're starting to see entire disciplines, courses, experts, etc. dedicated to content distribution. Just about everyone is playing in the content game right now. There's a lot of saturation. If you're not distributing your content effectively, no one will read it.
