Product Promotion on IH?
I'm new here and I'm curious if you are allowed to promote your own product here. I don't see it much, but more or less inadvertently with "roast my landing page" or "here is what I've learned while building blah".
Context clues tell me it's at least frowned upon to blatantly plug your product, but possibly against platform rules all together.
Thoughts?
A post to say 'I'm working on x to solve abc, looking for feedback / testers' I think is ok. Its the spamming many posts with different but related titles, or thread hijacking that would get a polite warning from the admins in the first instance.
People are either hustling for their first few sales or bragging of hitting the big time with ask me anything posts.
Thank you for your response. That makes total sense. So, bottom line-- be respectful and don't abuse the platform.
