Promotion and distribution tips?
by
Reuben Swartz
Anyone have tips for promoting your course, getting eyes on the landing page, etc?
My way is not efficient but it works. I create "big gives" to drive traffic and I would say these efforts take 25% the time it would for me to take a course.
A big give could be a jumbo article, or a mini-course and they always follow with a direct interaction where I do something for those who reach out.
I have landing pages but I never look at the time, because I leverage the social platform where I already have a reputation.
Bing ads works well in my experience.
Thanks-- did not see that coming. ;-)
I have a free email course; one email a day for 7 days. I call it 101. The 201 is the advanced course where they have to pay. But they are primed to pay if they enjoyed the email course.
You should also partner with similar audience bloggers and offer them a large % if their referral results in a sale. You can also set up affiliates.
Those are good ideas, thanks. Have had some success (and some failures) with affiliate bloggers.
What do you teach, and who's your audience?
How to do sales proposals the right way, mostly for consultants and other techie types who started companies but don't have a sales background. In this case, that's actually good, because a lot of sales people have bad habits that are harder to break. ;-)
