Promptle Rebranded!

Shipped a big update to Promptle 🎉

Over the past few weeks, I took a step back and rethought the entire experience. The result is a cleaner, more focused redesign that makes the core gameplay feel faster, sharper, and way more intuitive.

But the more exciting part…

👉 Introducing Promptle Party Mode

You can now play Promptle with your team, friends, or even across entire orgs. It turns into this fun, slightly chaotic, highly competitive experience where everyone’s trying to out-prompt each other in real time.

What started as a simple solo game is now something you can bring into:
• Team bonding sessions
• Weekly syncs
• Icebreakers
• Or just casual fun with friends

It’s been really interesting to see how differently people play when it’s social vs solo.

Would love for you all to try it out and share feedback. Still early, still evolving.

Party Mode is such a smart move — solo games are fun but the real stickiness comes when you bring other people in.

Curious how you're thinking about retention after the first session, do people aturally come back or does someone in the group have to keep re-inviting?

The party mode angle is smart. Solo games have a retention problem, but the second you add competition with people you know, it becomes a recurring thing. "Who's better at prompting" is a surprisingly spicy debate in any team right now.

Curious how the scoring works / is it based on how close the output matches a target, or is there a human judging element ? Because the scoring mechanic basically defines whether it feels like a skill game or a party game, and those attract very different audiences.

How did you handle the real-time multiplayer technically? WebSockets, polling, something else?
