Publishing an Electron App on macOS App Store

Hi everyone,

I've got a few ideas for productivity apps that would be nice to have running offline / in the desktop tray. I'm interested in using Electron and targeting the macOS app store, but I've heard some fairly recent (late 2019) stories about how Electron apps are being shut down by Apple. From what I understand, one of the recent Electron releases utilized a third-party API that Apple couldn't allow.

I'm having a hard time finding any comforting information that this situation has improved. Has anyone recently published an Electron app to the macOS app store?
