Purpose vs Money

Hi Indie hackers,

Besides money and its perks, why are you doing what you do?

I know it's a bit personal and everyone should have their answer, but recently I have been thinking about the limited time we have on this earth.

Can't help but wonder why we are all trying to get out of the rat race(full-time job) and plunge ourselves into another, yet more fierce rat race(entrepreneurship)

Genuinely want to hear what's driven everyone here, and maybe we can pick each other up while we're at it.
