Question: When to run a new blockchain network?

Hi Everyone,
Sometimes ago I decided to run a game network based on blockchain and after some searches, I reached a question:

Do I really need to run a new network and why not use current networks like ethereum?

I would be happy if you tell me some reasons to run a new network instead of using ethereum or other public and semi-public networks!
