A lot has happened at Yanzu since my last post here!

First: the Yanzu Data of old has been retired. Ultimately I was not able to generate enough traction for there to be a viable business there, so I took the difficult step of shutting it down.

BUT I still had the domain name and a desire to solve problems in the data space. So I built an application that would have been useful on a number of my prior engagements.

This time, I went for simplicity. The core of Yanzu Data now is about syncing files from A to B. If you have a client who delivers files to their SFTP server nightly, but you need those files to be moved to your S3 bucket, Yanzu Data is for you.

Currently, Yanzu supports bidirectional sync to/from any of S3, SFTP, and FTP. But the architecture makes it easy for me to add new data source/sink types.

I have a lot more planned beyond this initial kernel, but to start I want to get a sense of the market and determine how to best connect with customers who have the problem Yanzu solves.
