Research and Analytics for a specific industry

Hello Hackers,

For the past year or so I've been collecting and curating data from the Gaming Industry.

As an industry enthusiast (more than a player), I've been combining my analytical and research skills with my amateur programming skills to perform data analysis and to create dashboards and reports from this industry, so I can better understand its trends while honing my "hard skills" that I use in my 9-to-5 job (data analysis, reports, consulting) which is in a completely different industry that I don't see myself working in the future.

Now I want to start sharing and offering my data, reports, analyses, and insights with other players from this industry. But I am still not sure how to begin...

After lurking here for the past year, I've thought about creating a website where I could offer access to my data (which I constantly update) and provide a monthly report and a weekly industry newsletter, all via a subscription.

Perhaps I could also perform bespoken analyses in the future, targeting one specific industry niche (such as genre, platform, year, etc).

Therefore, I would really appreciate any kind of inputs on how and where to start. Having so much data and possibilities feel a bit overwhelming for a first-time entrepreneur. I often ask myself, whether I should build in public here or start sharing insights and thoughts on my Twitter account (with 14 random followers) for instance.

Anyways, how can I slowly transform something I do for passion into something valuable to others?
