Returning the favor: Need some non-dev expertise?

I've worked for vc-backed b2b startups for more than a decade & ran the marketing department at 3 of them.

I've gotten a lot of help for fellow indie hackers and would like to return the favor.

If anyone want any feedback, ideas or brainstorming for marketing, sales or business model challenges, I'm more than happy to help.

Just let me know in the comments

How can you uncover customer pain points using SEO.

    1. 1

Not sure I understand what you mean. You want to use seo to find out what solutions your target market is searching for?

No, to basically uncover unmet market needs to build a business around.

There are a lot ways to do that, but I wouldn't recommend starting with seo.

Your better off solving a problem you know well or choosing a type of customer you want to serve and actually talk to them to see what pain points they have.

    Thanks for doing so.

Currently I looking for the early users for my product.

For that I am daily looking out on Linkedin, Reddit, IH but nothing seems to work. Do I first build the product then look for the user or what exactly the issue.

What's the product? Do you have a url you can share?

It seems like the type of service people will only try if they're currently looking to hire a freelancer. This means you might have to reach out to a lot of people to get a user.

I would try outbound emails since it's an easy way to pitch a lot of people. I'd also put a lot of effort into building the right email list. Try to find people likely to hire, like those who leave reviews on clutch.co
