Roast My App

My app is live now at: https://timerlabs.com

It is an interval timer for daily routines and session based work.

I still don't know if it's fully found it's identity; so would be wonderful to hear if you have any suggestions for features that you would love to see in app like this.

Thanks!

Looks interesting, i might not be your target audience, but should i be informed why i should be using this way of tracking daily routines? Or do you expect that people who are looking for your product to understand what time interval tracking is already (depending on your marketing method)?

I use to work 7 days a week, and i would set alarms through the day because i would lose track of time, and so when the alarm went off i knew what point of the day it was. Is your app something that should appeal to me?

Yes it would work for something like that.

To be honest with marketing and product I'm a bit lost and still trying to figure it out. (I'm a technical person).

So your questions are actually really insightful for me.

You'll have to figure out bigger pain points. I think the biggest obstacle you'll face is if people will find your service worth paying for.

There's communities out there that revolve around specific task tracking methods, for different types of lifestyles. Have a look on reddit. You should probably start from there, see if you can build them something thats specifically tailored to their needs.

I'm making a task tracking app soon aswell (can't giveaway details yet lol), and you'll find that for certain lifestyles/methodologies there simply isn't an app made for them, so they're using makeshift apps (todoist, excel sheets, notion)

Thanks for the feedback and advice.

In regards to paying for it, my plan is to add more features; and possibly even add an add once a day at the end of a session.

I think it probably needs to be more fully featured though.

I like the idea of making like a micro-app for specific things though. It seems like a good idea.

Because you already have the summary for each session, it'd be great if you collected it in several timeframes and made it a statistic or analytic so every user can retrospect on their own time.

Hey, do you mean like adding basically a little note taking feature at the end of each session?

There is already a reports section and calendar that tracks each section.

But I think this feature could be evolved too.

Can you clarify the value prop? Timers already exist. The UI could be improved too.
