Hey guys,
I finished my landing page - it's ready to get roasted. 🔥
(placeholder testimonials atm)
I'm an SEO from Germany with 7+ years of experience currently working as a head of an editorial team in a 7-fig company. Now I'd like to start my own business as a sidehustle.
Any feedback would help me.
Also, I still have 2 slots left to test my service FOR FREE. If you know somebody who needs help with SEO or their website - let me know. :)
CRITIQUE:
From a copy perspective, I think you mostly nail it, with two glaring exception:
(1) Your introductory header and subheader. It feels like the least thought-out part of the page. (I suspect you may be experimenting with many options here?)
The irony is that I think you have the winning headline a little further down: "Unlimited SEO requests for one monthly fee."
Open with that, and then explain what that looks like.
(2) What constitutes an SEO request? Are you optimizing my code? Writing new copy? Conducting research? I have to scroll half-way down the page to "Audits, keywords, optimization and more" to get an idea of what you're offering.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
First, I recommend rewriting your introductory copy to something like:
Second, I'd rearrange the content:
You may want to compare this price to the alternatives. If I'm in the head space that this is a digital service, $499/month sounds like a lot. If, on the other hand, I'm comparing this to all the other SEO costs that I won't need to incur anymore, this could be a killer deal. Paint the picture for me.
Good luck with your launch! I'll be following :-)
This is AWESOME feedback. Thank you. I‘ll edit my page as soon as I‘m on my laptop.
And yes: It‘s a killer price IMHO atm, because a keyword research alone can cost you several hundred Dollars. It‘s a steal compared to other services.
Glad it's helpful!
Also I'd like your feedback for these hero phrases:
# Flexible SEO subscription service
Unlimited SEO requests for one monthly fee to scale your online business.
# Unlimited SEO requests for one monthly fee
SEO subscription to scale your online business.
I'm not a fan of the first one, simply because I'm not sure anyone is actively thinking about how inflexible their current SEO approach may be. I think that highlights the wrong benefit.
No. 2 does a good job of leading with the strongest benefit, followed by providing context for how you can deliver that.
Do you have any idea how to make it clearer that this is a KILLER offer? Thought I‘d pointed that out with the „forget freelancers and agencies“ stuff in the copy and faqs.
Maybe a sub phrase:
Pricing? A no brainer
The only SEO service you‘ll need
Cancel anytime. 7 days free trial
?
Take a gander at how Basecamp handles it.
https://basecamp.com/pricing
Right after they tell you their prices, they go into a comparison mode that shows you how much it would cost to get all the benefits of Basecamp with other tools.
What are all the products and services I would need to pay for if I wanted the benefits of SEO Flex without actually buying from you? How expensive are my alternatives?
Thanks a lot
