My turn to ask for a landing page roast. The page is getting roughly 0-9 visits per day.
The product is still a work-in-progress, but the book version already provides decent value.

I'd love to get your feedback & advice.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll take it into account when reworking the landing page.
The conversion rate is currently below 1%, so there's probably lots of room for improvement.
I think it gets the point across efficiently, but it lacks visual appeal. Then again the product is dedicated to C++ developers, so given the audience I don’t think it’s as important.
I’d say it’s at a place where spending time marketing will bring you more than tweaking the product.
What could be done to improve the "visual appeal?"
Thanks.
There are only 2 CTAs. I'm guessing you meant the little pre-release tag, which is meant to indicate that the book/course isn't finished yet. People are buying a work-in-progress, and will get updates as they're written.
I'd love to include testimonials. Unfortunately, my attempts to get testimonials only resulted in one guy telling me about a mistake he found that needed fixing. Mind you, I've only got a few sales so far, and I know most people aren't going to give you feedback. I'll try again later, after I've had some more sales...
I'll have a look at what others are are doing visually on their landing pages.
Good luck, I’ll attempt something similar soon, so please roast my landing page when I post it :)
I think it gets to the point quickly. It passes the test that I understand what your website is about in a couple of seconds.
I think a link to amazon with your book could work well.
I'd remove stuff:
"The CMake Tutorial" title not needed
"Pre release" blue button
"Get the Full Book/Course"
Let the mobile version with the block end with only one link
Also the top bar is weird, but can be ignored
"Get a Book Sample + Tips"
Can be
"Free sample chapter"
"Quickly learn the CMake essentials, so you can focus on writing C++ code instead of fighting with the build system..."
Can be
"Get you builds to work for you quickly and easily and rip the rewards"
Builds could be build system
Why do I need to see a price in NZD? Is this NZ only?
Didn't go over all the copy
By link, do you mean only one CTA button? If so, which one do you think I should lead with?
Yes, just one CTA
I mean the big white block background around this say hero section should fit in the first page load on mobile (no scrolling), I should see it finish/close
The CTA
"Get a Book Sample + Tips"
Can be
"Free sample chapter"
Easy action, you get an email to keep promoting
Okay, thanks.
Thanks for the many suggestions.
My company is NZ based. The website does support multiple currencies including USD. But, it defaults to NZD unless one of the listed currencies matches your country (e.g., USD in the USA, Euros in the EU).
I just realized that the currency chooser isn't visible on the landing page.
I'm in Aus, I'd expect to see either AUD preferably or USD if not
