Roast my onboarding, launching on PH tomorrow 🤯

Hi everyone,

My new product Sabil is a dev tool product. It helps customers easily monitor and control account sharing.

My theory:

  • Make new customers feel the product's value as soon as possible.

The how:

  • Guide them through an onboarding integration and lock the dashboard until they get the first API request.

What I ask:

  1. What are your thoughts about this approach? Does it seem valid from your experience, or should I allow customers to access the dashboard?

  2. Was the integration easy and fast and easy to understand?

Thank you in advance:

please try it here: https://dashboard.sabil.io

Tried to go through it. Needs a login. I don't want to have to create that. Do you have an example account people can play with to help you?

        Feedback

"Start by creating a project. Then we will guide you through creating yor API keys and you will be up and running in no time." - Mention the why again. What is the value. Why do I want to create API keys?

        typo on - yor

'Not technical?' section is good. Very important.

Add the 'free' directly to the book. "Book a free session with an engineer" Makes is clearer and you can remove the little 'its free'

Can't click on Android. Is that supported yet?

People love their command line tool. I would make the npm code as visible as the yarn one, not just in a comment. Makes it feel second class. :)

Thank you very much @joshdance. That is great feedback. My reactions:

          • "Mention the why again": 🙌
          • Typo: 🤦‍♂️
          • Not technical section: 💪
          • Android: it's supported, docs not ready yet.
          • npm second class: 😆 you are 100% right (that's how I feel tho lol, but not fair)

          Thanks again, really appreciate it.
