Is it ok to have a mission that serves one stakeholder while earning your revenue from another stakeholder?
If so, how do you handle it when conflict arises between your various stakeholders?
The recent Robinhood fiasco has me worried about LegUp Health.
Robinhood's mission statement is to democratize finance for all, but Robinhood gets some of its revenue from the traditional financial players (e.g. hedge funds).
LegUp Health's current mission is to make buying your own health insurance a benefit not a burden, but we receive much of our revenue from the health insurance companies.
My take: It's OK to have this conflict, but you have to manage it carefully. What's yours?
