We decided not to try dozen of marketing strategies at the beginning, instead;
We run a few LTD offers for the Fastdok Lifetime plan
We collected every possible feedback/features demand from LTD paying users (A feedback from paying user is always more accurate than the one of a free user)
We stopped LTD offers, and created a product roadmap listing the most demanded features & useful feedback from the backlog in order to add to the new improved version of Fastdok.
We worked on the most prioritized features from the roadmap, and launched a new stronger version of www.fastdok.com with more powerful features as asked by users.
... and now it will be okay if we dive into multiple marketing strategies and deploy the needed effort/budget for that.
The idea behind this strategy👇
When you get dozen of accurate feedback/reviews from users, and you push most of them on your product's new version, you'll have less fear, more energy, and more breath to work hard and put effort/budget into the marketing and user acquisition aspects than in the beginning.
Or that's how I'm feeling at least :D
What do you think?
Overall that's a good strategy and makes you keep focussed. Again, with SaaS, there are hundreds of strategies one can try. I am glad this worked out for you.
I have a separate section called 'Marketing chops' in my Micro SaaS Ideas newsletter and I write about this kind of strategies based on niche type/SaaS product type along with a lot of insights/ideas/trends around Micro SaaS.
But where did you run the - 'few LTD offers for the Fastdok Lifetime plan'?
Hello, @upenv I regularly check the Micro SaaS Ideas :) you're doing great work there.
We did run LTD with SaaS Mantra & Pitchground
Thankyou!!. I think PitchGroud improved a lot compared to last year. How was it with SaaS Mantra?
yes Pitchground are doing a good work, it was better than SaaS Mantra
Seems like a sensible strategy. But if the LTD brings in a sudden massive number of initial users - more than one can manage as a solo founder - won't this then backfire?
Not very sensible @Wyeem, because there are solutions for this point, and after all, we weren't doing LTD for money, so we defined prices that won't get us maybe a massive number of users, therefore it brings us a sufficient number of users needed to build a product features backlog to improve Fastdok.
