I’m researching how salespeople handle notes after client calls and demos.
What causes the most frustration?
missed follow-ups
unclear next steps
forgotten objections or customer requirements
too much time writing summaries and updating the CRM
no clear owner for action items
I’m validating an AI meeting assistant and looking for honest feedback from people who have several sales calls each week.
What is the biggest problem in your workflow today?
The painful part is often not producing a summary — it’s losing the reason behind a next step. A CRM can record “send proposal Friday,” but the rep later cannot tell whether the real blocker was budget, security review, a missing stakeholder, or a competitor.
I’d test for the moment after the call: can a rep see the objection, the agreed action, the owner and the exact supporting moment in under 30 seconds? That is more valuable than a polished generic recap. We are working on this problem in Speechara, so I’d be curious which of those four breaks down most often for reps doing 5+ calls a week.
That’s a great point. The loss of context behind the next step may be more painful than the summary itself.
In your experience, which breaks down most often for reps doing 5+ calls a week: capturing the objection, assigning the owner, linking the evidence, or actually following through?
I’m still validating the workflow, so concrete examples would be very helpful.
