Hi fellow Indie Hackers,
I hope you're all having a productive week! I'm currently in the process of building a service that I believe could be a game-changer for content creators, social media managers, and anyone who frequently posts across multiple platforms.
The concept revolves around an API that seamlessly integrates with an IFTTT (If This, Then That) system. This means you'd be able to set up automated rules for posting content across various platforms, saving you the time and hassle of manual posting.
Here's how it works:
You write a post once.
The API takes this post and, based on your pre-set rules, it automatically gets posted to the platforms of your choosing, and in the formats required by these platforms.
You could set up rules like "If I post on my blog, then also post a summary on Twitter" or "If I upload a video on YouTube, then also post a link on Facebook."
I'm excited about the potential of this service, but I want to make sure I'm building something that truly meets your needs. So, I'm turning to this community for feedback:
Does this sound like a service you'd use? Why or why not?
What features would you like to see included in the service?
Are there any potential issues or pitfalls you foresee with this kind of system?
If you've used similar services before, what did you like/dislike about them?
Your thoughts and insights would be invaluable in shaping the direction of this project. Feel free to share any ideas or concerns, and I'll do my best to respond to each one.
Thank you in advance for your time and input!
