Seeking Feedback on My AI-Based B2B Travel Planner Idea

Hey everyone,

I'm excited to share my latest project in the works: an AI-based travel planner that incorporates the expertise of travel influencers. I'm looking for valuable feedback, comments, and constructive criticism from the IndieHackers community to help me improve my idea.

The main goal of my travel planner is to provide users with the best of both worlds: the ability to explore curated itineraries from experienced travel influencers while also generating personalized itineraries using AI. By combining these two approaches, I aim to create a comprehensive travel planning platform that caters to a wide range of travelers.

Here's a brief overview of how the platform will work:

Curated Itineraries: Travel influencers, who have explored various destinations and gained valuable insights, will contribute their itineraries to the platform. Users can browse through these curated itineraries to get inspiration and ideas for their own trips.

AI-Powered Personalization: To provide a tailored experience for users, the AI component of the travel planner will analyze users' preferences, interests, and other relevant data. It will then generate personalized itineraries that align with their specific requirements and optimize for factors like budget, time, and activities.

B2B Model: To sustain the platform and generate revenue, I plan to adopt a B2B model. This means collaborating with travel agencies, tour operators, and other industry partners to offer customized travel packages based on the generated itineraries. By partnering with these businesses, we can provide a seamless booking experience for users while earning commission or fees for the services rendered.

Now, I'm eagerly looking for feedback from the community.

I appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, or constructive criticism you can provide. I'm eager to learn from the community and improve my idea to create a valuable product that serves travelers' needs while also benefiting the industry as a whole.

Thank you all in advance for your input!

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your Travel Planner Idea😁

    You may follow either approach.

    Approach1:

First, prepare a B-plan (so many questions will be answered by the B-plan that I want to ask and the B-plan actually works as a feedback to an idea) and then build an MVP to test the idea.

The B-plan should include the following pointers:

    1. Existing Gap/ The Problem/ Opportunity

    2. Proposed Solution

    3. Vision, Mission, Goal

    4. Focus & Non-focus Area

    5. Location & Market Size

    6. Target Segment/ Audience (Demographic, Demographic, Behavioural)

    7. Competitive analysis

    8. SWOT & PEST analysis

    9. Go To Market Strategy

    10. Value Proposition & USP

    11. HR & Ops planning

    12. Sales & Business Model Canvas

Financial Model (Investment Required, Costs & Allocation to different heads, Revenue Figures & Projections, Profit Figures & Growth, Break Even Point)

    1. Exit plan.

You should figure out a way to host the MVP either for free or at a bare minimum cost.

    Everything should have a deadline.

If I cannot collect x amount of feedback in y time frame, then there is something wrong.

If I can not get x active free users in y months, then there is something wrong.

If I can not get x active free users in y months, then there is something wrong.

If I can not get x paid-free users in y months, then there is something wrong.

    Approach2:

    Ship > Modify > Repeat

    Note:

    1. If I get a chance to look into the B-plan or the MVP, I'll be able to provide fine-tuned feedback and ask better questions.

    2. No matter which approach you take, success is not guaranteed.

    3. Feel free to reach out if you need further help.

    All the best👍

Hey! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this all out!

I prefer doing the first approach!

I will send you the b-plan as soon as I am done with it, really looking forward to the feedback!

Thank you so much once again!
