SEO is dead for my tech stack. So I built an AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) audit tool.

Hey hackers,

Like many of you, I’ve been watching my Google organic traffic change over the past few months. The truth is, user behavior is shifting faster than our current marketing stacks can handle.

People aren't just clicking "10 blue links" on Google anymore. They are opening ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity to ask complex questions directly.

If your startup or SaaS is not being cited in those AI chat sessions, you are becoming digitally invisible.

The problem? Traditional SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush) stop at Google's front door. They can’t tell you if GPTBot is successfully crawling your JSON-LD schemas, or if Perplexity’s RAG pipeline is miscategorizing your brand entity.

Frustrated by flying blind, I decided to scratch my own itch and build the solution: AEO Audit Pro.

It’s a SaaS specifically engineered to audit how visible your web architecture is to next-gen AI search engines. It validates your AI crawler clearances, parses semantic HTML5 layouts, and analyzes global trust vectors to ensure neural networks accurately cite you as the primary source.

I just pushed it live and I’m iterating incredibly fast.

I would love to get your brutal feedback on two things:

  1. The UI/UX flow of the dashboard.

  2. Are there any specific semantic or LLM metrics you would expect from an AI audit but feel are missing?

If you want to stop guessing, feel free to run a quick technical scan for your startup (the basic audit is completely free).

P.S. For the IH community, I’ve set up a launch code LAUNCH50 for 50% off. Drop your startup link below, and I’ll also take a manual look at your layout!

Really curious on how you managed to build that! The company i work with uses Semrush AIO Enterprise for AEO visibility. Fantastic tool but its enterprise level and i understand its extremelly expensive. Havent found any tools friendly to SMBs. Maybe worth taking a look at the tool, you could get some ideas for your product.

Well it took some time, but here we are haha. I will definitely check out on that tool from Semrush. Thanks for sharing!

Although there are more and more concepts nowadays, I think their core is still the same as SEO.

AEO feels interesting, but I’d be careful not to abandon SEO completely yet.
What’s been working for me is treating AI visibility as an extra layer on top of strong basics, not a replacement.

Absolutely! There is no AEO without SEO, but this tool makes AEO possible!

The shift in search behavior is very real. A lot of teams still optimize mainly for Google rankings while ignoring whether AI systems can actually understand and retrieve their company correctly. What’s interesting is that we’re moving from:
    “can Google index this page?”
    to:
“can AI systems interpret this company/entity/context correctly?”

That’s a very different problem layer. I think tools around AI visibility, semantic structure, entity understanding, and retrieval optimization are going to become a much bigger category over the next 1–2 years.

Yes, that's why I made this tool. SEO is changing fast, and people need to adapt.

This looks like a really useful tool!

Thank you! Are you someone from the SEO industry?

Ran it on my first project seshradar - scored 78. How long does it typically take for AI search engines to actually start citing a site after the crawlers show green? And is there anything beyond technical setup that speeds it up?

The scorer is updated now, so maybe you should check it out again. Well, besides technical part, backlinks are still very important. They can definitely help you speed that up.

Great tool for understanding how AI sees your website

I ran an AEO audit on my AI palm reading site and was impressed by the depth of analysis. The report clearly showed:

    • Which AI crawlers can access my site (ChatGPT, Perplexity, ClaudeBot, etc.)

    • Specific issues like missing image alt text and semantic HTML tags

    • Actionable recommendations prioritized by impact

The score breakdown helped me understand exactly where to focus my optimization efforts. Fixed 3 issues from the report and my site is now better structured for AI search engines.

Highly recommend for anyone building content sites or SaaS products who wants to be visible in AI-powered search results.

I appreciate that sir! Are you someone from SEO industry, and if so would you like to give us an "official" feedback so we can add that to the testimonials section on our website?

I tried it. It looks really nice.

      I appreciate that!

The shift you're describing is real and most SEO tools are completely ignoring it. I've spent the last few months doing manual SEO audits across 7 sites in my ecosystem and the thing I kept running into was exactly this — I can optimize title tags and meta descriptions all day but I have zero visibility into whether ChatGPT or Perplexity is even finding the content, let alone citing it. Traditional tools stop at Google's front door like you said. Running a scan on bubbacode.com — curious what it surfaces on the JSON-LD and semantic HTML side since I've put a lot of work into that layer specifically. For missing metrics I'd want to see entity disambiguation scoring — whether LLMs are correctly categorizing the brand vs confusing it with something else.
