I think it would be interesting to see what indie hackers know a lot about. To that end - share one fact, about a topic you know a lot about, with the community.
My decision to start doing software development as a freelancer has given me so many opportunities an employment wouldn't have given me. I've been doing freelance for local companies in Sweden for the past 5 years.
The money is on another level compared from a salary, I've been able to work ~60% of a normal work week and still be able to provide for myself, and hire extra help for my own projects when it has been necessary.
You should look around on how much software developers normally charge per hour in your local area. Run the math. If it is beneficial, you should consider it. 🧐 Of course it comes with added responsibility. But it's well worth it.
2/3 of web usage is mobile devices (responsive design is important people! 😉)
List your startup/website in lots of directories, create content , create social profile in many different platforms ( fb ,twitter, insta, dribbble, behance n bla bla bla. )
Make posts, comment, drop your link, drop it even more...follow people, do NOT ask them to follow,..post on different fb groups, and so on.
Damn, I even created a profile on VK because I had lots of traffic from Russia.
I have not spent a penny on marketing...

At the beginning, I made 5 different shots daily for Dribbble, Instagram , FB for 3 months.
When I updated I posted on 15 different channels, by hand, and still do....
Right now there's around 650 users daily.. and 8o9 subscribers
Do not procrastinate, ain't worth it.
Validate, validate and then validate once more.
