Share your awesome apps that DID NOT work but used SUBSCRIPTIONS?

I'm looking to learn about all the apps that you've built, that you know provide awesome value, but subscriptions just didn't work for your users. Share a link, let us know why? Did they churn, did people not convert? How often did they use it? Was it episodic? Did you try other pricing models!

Why? We are building usage based pricing for any amount, no minimums to help apps that don't make sense for subscriptions (and we all know that ads don't monetize). Looking forward to learning from you all!
