Hi everyone,
I have started sending cold emails to prospective clients in small batches. Open rate is low ( 8% - 25%) as expected. Some of them opened multiple times but didn't reply or click a link.
Should I send a follow up email to people who opened my email?
Thanks,
Hi Zuhtu -- I've done a lot of large scale high end email marketing and cold email. The truth is, you should honestly expect 50-80% open rate for cold email if you are doing it right.
Also cold follow ups will get you 75% of your sales (They are the most important part of the process, bar none. Most people wont respond the first time, this is a fact). A follow up should generally be 1 week later if they don't respond with 3 cold follow ups total if they don't respond.
If you want my cold email template that averages a 40% response rate let me know -- I use to be in your spot and someone helped me so I am always happy to help.
Hi, I am interested in the template too. I will be doing cold emailing this fall for a project.
Thanks for replying.
Yes, I would be very interested to see your template. I need advice on both first email and follow ups. :)
Ok add me on discord - do#3695
@Delight, you are awesome. I don't need a template but I want to appreciate your help.
I would start sending follow-ups to people that opened the email multiple times first. See what the result is.
I would use a bonus approach in the follow up. I wouldn't say something like "i noticed you opened the email...".
Try to offer more in the follow up. At least that is how i see it.
Good idea. Thanks!
I've been sending a few cold emails as well recently. I'd be curious about how you approach tracking open rates? I'm just using good old Gmail.
I've been trying different services. So far, I used Mailchimp, Convertkit, and YAMM.
If you want to stick to gmail, try YAMM.
Thank you!
