Hi iH!
Happy to share with the community that my latest project, Trackification (t12n), is publicly launched!
Thought it might be useful to some people here, and would of course appreciate any feedback (about any of it :))
TL;DR: Welcome to check out http://www.t12n.io
Here's some more info:
t12n helps you track different things in your life and provide you with general analytics about it, as well as letting you experiment different behavioral changes and measure how well they work.
What can you track?
Anything you want!
Trackings are basically built of a question (for example: "How energetic are you?"), structured response list of emoji based scores (for example: "πͺ" for 10, "π" for 5 and "π΅βπ«" for 0), and the times you want to track it (for example week days on 10:30am, 2:30pm and 6:30pm).
How do you track?
That's the cool part: you get a notification on your phone or watch at the times you defined, which you can respond directly to.
No need to open an app to log, or remember to do so. It literally takes 2 seconds!
What can you learn?
How do certain behavioral changes affect your trackings
Started practicing meditation daily to try to improve your energy levels? Define the time frame you're doing it and see how your scoring averages change.
If your trackings have interesting patterns.
Which day are you least energetic in? (for me it's Thursday)
What time of the day is your general feeling better? (mornings for me :))
More analytics coming soon!
Super happy to share this launch with the community, and again, would love to hear what you think about it!

This is interesting. Did you research if there are any similar apps?
I recall using an app on Android, that asked you every time you unlocked the phone what you were doing - with a list of categories defined by you. It was a time tracker for your life, was very easy to use and it gave me some good insights (it was before eg. screen time even existed). I recall it was even paid and I did pay for it. It always stunned me, that it was the only one that was that simple (and I could stick with it)...
Is the data synced anywhere, or remains on device (or iCloud backup)?
Thanks for your interest @panrafal!
Interesting app you're describing, may I ask why did you stop using it?
The data is synced on our server so you can get better analytics, switch devices, etc (will be even more relevant in the future when we have web and android apps as well).
I've checked - it was SaveMyTime (https://savemytime.co/).
Why I stopped? I think at some point I got worn by it constantly asking (I had it set to every phone unlock, unless 15mins haven't passed) :) It was great when I wanted to gather data, but once I had a feeling I have enough (a year or so) I didn't feel that much incentive to continue. I've learned what I wanted and moved on.
I can see myself using yours, but I feel that such tracking is a very personal thing. I'd prefer this data to remain on my device, under full control. Unless, I can trust the company to properly protect it - but I know it's super tricky when you're just starting out (I'm building an investments tracker, so it's probably even more personal).
Thanks for the reference, and the feedback about the privacy @panrafal!
WRT the incentive to continue: t12n is mostly about continuously optimizing yourself: you can see analytics about your trackings (more being added), and measure the results of actively experiment new behavioral changes trying to improve on your results. I hope (and believe) that this provides a strong enough value.
A few small things regarding the privacy concern you brought up, and how we're addressing them:
Would love to hear your thoughts about it, to hopefully learn better about users' concerns.
Good luck with your product! Is there any public information about it yet? (couldn't find in your profile).
Thanks again for the very valuable inputs!
Maybe it's worth to add this privacy info on the page then. Although for some things I still prefer the option not to sync at all, but I'm probably in minority...
I'll keep your app in mind when looking for trackers, because you just renewed my interest in this area :)
And one more question - how does your tracker compare to others? What it does differently? How it stands out? I could find dozens of mood trackers easily.
As for my product - just added it to IH - it's an investments tracker - if you want to try it out use this invite: https://app.mycapitally.com/invite/beta-4 as it's a closed beta.
Mycapitally looks great! Couldn't find the ih post btw..
Tanks for the kind words. I'm pretty new here. I've added the product, but didn't touch the posts yet so it awaits moderation π€¦ββοΈ
Thanks.
As I see it there are two main differentiators:
The ease of tracking from the notifications.
T12n enables tracking from the notification itself (actions menu), there is no need to even open the app to track. You can reply from your phone or watch and it literally takes 2 seconds.
The focus on optimization.
T12n has a feature of experiments: you can define timeframes of behavioral changes, and see how those affect your tracking. Eventually you can easily identify the ones that work well, and are worth adopting for the long run.
T12n also provides interesting analytics (track score by day of the week/ hour of the day, and more coming soon), to help you gain other actionable insights.
Lmk if you ever do get to trying it out, would love to hear what you think.
Thanks! Will do once I get to that. I'm pretty overwhelmed now with settings things up
