Show IH: Launching Myself - a site that grades everything I make
Hey guys,
It's been really cool to see increased transparency on IH with makers sharing more metrics and early lessons, good + bad. Inspired by this, I decided to challenge myself with a site that tracks everything I put online.
The idea behind this type of blog was to make everything I do more transparent. It's way easier to share the romanticized version of lessons learned after the fact, but the "currently in the weeds, I just did this last week and it only kinda worked" kind of sharing has much more impact imo.
So from here on out, all products I launch have 3 months to earn $1000, all articles have 1 month to hit 100 shares, and all videos have 6 weeks to reach 1000 views. No pressure 😅
While I'm going to use this site to track new things I make, it's also been fun to turn my past projects into case studies on the site. For example, you can see everything I've ever failed at: launchingmyself.com/?failed (please be gentle)

Like it! It's amazing what a difference it makes to declare yourself and your projects publicly. It's less about putting pressure on yourself, more about making everything you do feel more real.
Thanks! Totally agree, and when even an idea is announced, we're more likely to follow through to either a good or bad end. I think the failed idea post-mortem is one of the biggest chances for growth for founders, but most are either too embarrased or too quick to move onto the next thing
