Hi,
In my experience, slack is very poor for storing historical context. When working in a company or community where slack is heavily used for communication, I find that it's hard to quickly store an important thread or conversation somewhere for future reference. Slack has the "star a thread" feature, which is fine if the entire conversation is within one thread, but this does not apply to a conversation that is a series of standard messages.
How does the concept of a "Slack Clipboard" sound? This would let you quickly clip a bunch of messages or thread, save it in the tool and then potentially export those messages/thread to another note taking tool of your choice.
Would this solve a problem worth paying for?
Am I the only one that this annoys?
How often do you need to copy messages from slack for historical reference?
Any feedback at all welcome, thanks!
