Smart contracts in Solidity, Go and Rust
Since crypto is about to take over the world in one way or the other I thought it would be cool to get a hang on smart contracts and maybe develop a simple ERC20 token on Ethereum. I am fluent in Go and I would really like to dive deeper into Solidity. If there is somebody out there who wants to learn together or if there is someone already proficient I would also like to be a mentee on that matter. We can hang and pair and figure out what kind of project we can maybe kick off together.
I did a project with Solidity. It's one of the reasons why I don't hold any Ethereum. I dearly hope ETH will be dethroned by some other smart contract platform sooner than later.
What was it about Solidity you didn't like? You know that the EVM supports other languages? E.G. Vyper, which is a Python style lang.

What's the project?
In short Its about developing a decentralized advertising platform, utilizing blockchain technology to promise monetizations of creators, privacy for consumers.
This will happen. I feel like in terms of smart contracts we work with something like a mainframe analogy. This needs time. I think Terra provides different SDKs for smart contracts. You can for instance write them in Rust. That would be really cool.
Do you work on anything crypto related at this point?
I also started with ERC20 token as a "hello world". After I did a full project with ETH I couldn't bring myself to work on the next project.
I still haven't come across the right crypto that doesn't feel like I am wasting my time yet. I do find the outlook super exciting though. Not sure if I have a too romantic view on this.
But I am curious what e.g. Cardano will eventually bring to the table.
