So we have some waitlist emails... now what?

I'm looking for guidance from the community on what you do with your waitlists. Once you have emails from people interested in your landing page, what have you done with them? What worked and what didn't?

Interest, yay! But...

About a week ago, I launched a demo page with a waitlist form (openshare.ai). Through mostly ads, I've gotten about ~40 emails signed up on the waitlist, which is promising!

However, I was so focused on getting the demo out that I hadn't considered what I'd do if people actually signed up.

Reaching out

I'm looking for ideas on next steps.

  • Should I email each of them with follow up questions on what they hope to get out of the product?
  • Should I ask for a zoom discussion for user research?
  • Should I leave them alone until the product is ready?

The obvious answer is yes, I should reach out. I should maximize my learnings and get to know my potential customers. But, I was hoping to hear real stories of how this has worked out for people. Did a small % respond? Did it ultimately help your product?

Any ideas or stories in the comments would be amazing.
