Social Media Addiction. Digital Asketism.

I have noticed that about 4 hours per day are used for consuming absolutely useless information: random photos, memes, videos, etc., and that's why I'm trying to completely remove social media from my life for the past few weeks. I deleted TikTok, Twitter, Instagram and now I'm fighting the final boss - Youtube. I couldn't imagine how hard it will be to give up my bad digital habits. Sometimes I feel like a drug addict, but in general, I'm doing ok, I have much more time and energy for myself despite a small exception - the Fear of Missing Out.

Often I think I missed some cool photos of my friends and family from Instagram or interesting videos from my Youtube subscription list. And I wouldn't like to let these things pass me by. You can say: "Just check it quickly and close the app", but I know it's a trap, the moment I open Instagram/Youtube/Twitter, I will lose the fight and be sucked into the procrastination loop again.

Do you have similar problems? How do you solve them?

I even thought about something like a bundle of top content from all my social media accounts delivered to me once a day. It will be a compromise between permanently checking social networks and completely disown them.
