Sorry for the silence so heres a BIG update!

Update for anyone following along. It’s been a while, longer than planned, but I wanted this one to actually be finished before posting about it.

First off! I would genuinely like to thank everyone who’s left kind words and honest feedback along the way, it’s shaped more of this update than you might realize.

The AI side of things got the biggest update, more than I expected going in.

Approach, email tone, and brand voice settings now genuinely work together and customer support details feed into generation too, so a full AI generated email actually sounds like it came from your business.

Smart Retry Scheduling is live, still in its learning stage. Over time it’ll learn which days actually lead to a successful recovery for a given failure type and time the sequence around that instead of a fixed schedule. You can still postpone or fast-track it manually, but your approach setting still influences these decisions.

Every AI-generated email now gets filtered for appropriateness before it sends. If it fails that check, it’s automatically regenerated and resubmitted. (Only gets one retry before reverting to a template for safety)

Also made a recovery-limit overflow system. It’s opt-in instead of automatic, you choose whether overflow recoveries get a small revenue share or just wait for next cycle, never forced either way. (Revenue share % is based on tier.(needing review))

Second big piece: Bring your own key (BYOK) is live, connect your own AI provider instead of ours, pay less, same filtering either way. The AI passes through all the same rules and restrictions as the inbuilt AI API does and is safe to use. (Currently supports Anthropic and OpenAI)

This also comes with a AI-Fallback setting, It’s completely optional. If your AI provider drops out or the API key errors, the opting into this allows Restryde’s Internal AI to step back in to generate emails. This occurs additional charges per email sent.

Third: Real recovery controls, pause a job, fire an immediate action on resume, change the next scheduled action, manually recheck a payment and finally close or restart recoveries. I had received a few comments stating that most tools in this space are too automated, no room for a human judgment call. That stuck with me.

A few other real things worth mentioning too. The landing and launch pages both got a proper pass, cleaner layout, accurate feature descriptions and a full FAQ rebuild covering the questions people actually ask before signing up. (More on the landing page. the launch not so much)

I also reframed the recovery guarantee. It had drifted into vague “no recovery, no charge” territory, which wasn’t fair to anyone trying to understand it, so I tightened it up. Here’s exactly what it says now:

“New users get a 1-month Recovery Guarantee. The app must recover over $25 USD in app-caused recoveries during that first month. If it doesn’t reach $25, that first month isn’t charged.”

For anyone who came through this community specifically, that applies to your second month, not your first, since your first month is already a free trial to test things properly. If you choose to continue after that, the guarantee (and the Founder Member discount) both kick in from there. (You still get the founder badge and beta badge for the free trial.)

The other tiers are also open for direct purchase now, no more waiting on a “contact us.” They’re discounted for the beta too, up to $50 off a month depending on the tier and AI option you pick.

Next up, completing the revenue share review and then getting this ready for the Stripe App Marketplace.

Appreciate everyone who’s stuck with this so far. More soon.
