Spam from Indie Hackers (Yet again?)

I asked a couple of times about the Spam I had received from Indiehackers in my email inbox. On the surface? Just a digest email alerting me to many topics that I'm interested in, and like to participate in here at Indiehackers.

The problem is that some of those posts aren't actually posts at all, but Spam, Trollbait, or otherwise links to unwanted and unrelated items with respect to Indiehackers.

Even if I click on the icon of the Indiehackers member, there is NO SUCH ARTICLE - that's really odd. If you click on the topic headline you are taken directly to a third party site/resource (that could be, and often has been, nefarious) that has absolutely nothing at all to do with IndieHackers.

That's called Spam.

I've brought this up to Courtland a couple of times, alerting him and asking why this is happening. I haven't heard back yet.

Today was an especially problematic trollbait Spamlink in the digest that actually came from Channing!!!

I don't appreciate anything Twitter, and personally, number among the millions of privacy conscious people and advocates that categorically dismiss anything related to that cesspool at all times. Others may buy into the dopamine rush of that privacy mining behemoth but there really isn't anything of value there that we're all not apprised of anyway through safer environments.

That digest email (todays) had a post by Channing as the first topic here at Indiehackers, one that doesn't exist here, yes it was a direct link to a shill rant at Twitter concerning perhaps the most insidious and dangerous privacy farming application gaining traction until recently - Clubhouse... a monolithic silo that has already caused well documented accounts of extreme harm and damage to numerous individuals.

Personally, it really bothers me that Spam like that slipped through and wasn't scrubbed by Indiehacker.

When I, or anyone else here, one would think, clicks on a link to Indiehackers, it is expected that the content served when the browser is launched will be from https://indiehackers.com

More and more, that's not happening - What is happening? Why is Indiehackers permitting this type of hijacking behavior in their notification emails?

Myself and several others here have brought this up to Courtland and so far, none of us that I know of has received a response.

So perhaps it is best to simply discuss this publicly.
