Stand-up #1 - Add a new product feature
A little background
I came up with the idea of creating a small ERP & CRM software for ecommerce stores around 2 years ago.
The lack of time made me to abandon it for 3 times, until this year in January, when I decide I have to start fresh again and finish it. So armed with dedication and motivation, I made a list of what features the MVP will include, made some research against the competition and wrote down the interesting ideas I found over.
The present
At the moment, the functional parts of my app are:
- Login & Registration
- Setting up the business profile (company details, bank accounts, invoice numbers, invoice profiles, secondary offices/warehouses/sales channels)
- Creating an new order
The last 7 days I've been working on adding a new product feature. I've spent a lot of time planning how the database schema will look like, because this is the most complex & important part, and I am also almost done with the front-end.
You can add a simple product, choose attributes like color, size etc, upload a gallery of images, adjust the inventory level, sync the product sales channel.
This weekend I will work on adding a variable product based on the chosen attributes, and adding a grouped product too.
After finishing the front end, I will take care of the back-end either. Hopefully at the next stand-up I will have more updates.
