start

been solo-building heyou.page for 2 weeks straight.

started after i tried to update my instagram bio link for the 5th time.

linktree wanted $9/mo just to remove their logo.

carrd looked great but took 45 min to tweak fonts.

i just needed: name, 3 links, done.

so i built it in next.js + supabase.

what actually shipped:

- type name → 3 sec → live page

- zero ads, zero branding

- ssr + isr → google indexes in <60s

- one template that actually looks decent on mobile

what broke me:

- await params 500’d in prod for 3 days straight

- supabase fetch timeouts on vercel (solved with custom agent)

- realized json links are dev-only (rewriting to ui now)
