Starting a business?
Hello ladies!
I am a stay at home mom of 2 and a wife. My whole life consists of everything baby and wife duties. I realized I am not just a mother and wife. I have an identity too lol. So I got my creative juices going and decided I want to start my own skincare line! I have always wanted to create my own business and I love everything skincare. I always thought I would wait to create my business until I had more money but I really want to build my business from the ground up. Any advice? Is there any other entrepreneurs that can give a newcomer some advice?

I follow the DIY beauty subreddit and there's a great post there about starting your own skincare line. She mostly talks about the struggles behind it but I think it would really help you prepare your business for success!

My advice is be bold and specific about what you are offering. Don't worry about trying to be for everyone and focus on what makes your skin care line different (this could go beyond the product, think packaging or a specific message). You may even want to focus on 1 or 2 exceptional products to get some traction before the full line takes shape, this could allow you to take customers' feedback more easily before investing too much time and energy into finished products.
In summation: Your time and resources may be limited in the beginning so focus on doing a few things well first and hopefully that will inform and fuel expansion.

Hi , before you have a business, try to find an audience. Make a page on facebook or make a youtube account and try to get 500 subscribers with content. Its a cost effective way to test if you will need to spend a lot of money on advertising or if you have the right connections to build it up from the ground organically. Even a small audience of 50 people is a good start to bounce off ideas.
