Starting up is easy

Opening a shop is easy. Keeping the door open for the next 10 years is the difficult part.

You can easily build your idea over the weekend - all you need is Wifi and a code editor. You get plug-n-play frameworks to host data, spin servers and even build signup flows.

So if startup creation is commoditised, what is the secret sauce?

Distribution of course. A poor product with great distribution can win, but a great product with poor distribution always dies. And how do you win at distribution? Survive long enough to build an audience, grow your customers, and one day you find success (heh, or get lucky!).

I wrote this as part of my regular Kaapi newsletter, so thought of sharing it here too
