StoreMD on the Shopify App Store

We just shipped StoreMD on the Shopify App Store, and the way we scoped it might be useful to anyone building in a crowded category.

Before writing code, we audited every Shopify health and audit app we could find and listed what each one actually checked. The pattern was obvious: each tool owned one slice (speed, SEO, app billing, accessibility) and ignored everything else. Store owners were paying for four or five of them and merging the output by hand.

So we built one scan across five modules: store health, listings, AI readiness, compliance, and real browser tests. 43 features total. Then we added four checks none of the competitors have: an agentic readiness score (can ChatGPT read your store), a visual store test, a real-browser purchase simulation, and a live accessibility scan.

The bet is that depth plus consolidation beats another single-purpose tool. Early days, but the part people react to is the scan-to-fix loop: it doesn't just report problems, it fixes them once you approve.
