Build in public day 16/30: Struggling with the 𝕏 API. We're using the $200/mo dev plan (we also have the $2,000 Verified Org plan) and dealing with things like the search and mention endpoints only working intermittently with community posts.
There's no good path to escalate these issues except the dev forums, which have multiple other threads on the same topic with no responses. It's a bit bizarre since the plans are so expensive, you'd expect better support and functionality, especially with the basic endpoints.
𝕏 has so much potential and it's such a cool service, so I'm optimistic about the issues getting addressed.
A friend shared some potential workarounds, so need to explore those next. We'll figure it out 🎧💪
I myself was planning to build something using X, but the 200$/m API fees held me back
Yep, it's pretty pricey. They do have a free plan, but the rate limits are so low that it's a pain to try. If I was being optimistic, maybe that's a moat 😆
I did signup into the app, and was just wondering about how much you are paying to X for accessing the API. This is significant by your description.
Yeah, we're on the $200/mo. X API dev plan. We also got the $2,000/yr. Verified Org plan since we thought it'd be better support. We're trying other workarounds now to get it working consistently.
