Succeeding without Twitter

Hi folks, I've been learning from the IH community for the past year or so and been really inspired by everyone here! However, one thing that causes me some discouragement is seeing the tactics one has to resort to on Twitter in order to get attention/traction for their app/info products etc.

I see people engaging in various different strategies from tweeting pithy philosophical wisdom to exposing a live feed of Gumroad revenue charts. Is this really what is required in order to stand out and sell product in 2021? From reading Minimalist Entrepreneur and Zero to Sold (both inspiring reads), the takeaway seems to be that "building an audience" is ground zero for a solopreneur digital business.

I understand the need for sales & marketing as critical for success, but as an IH, I don’t want to spend 8 hours on Twitter per day; I'd rather work a FT job for someone else if that is the requirement.

I wondered if there are any examples on IH of individuals who have been successful in their Indie goals without spending hours per day on Twitter promoting and chasing followers? If so, what is the key differentiator that makes social media less of a requirement for your success over others?
