Take a break. It might genuinely be worth your time.

As an entrepreneur, taking a day off, an hour off, even a second where you’re not thinking about work can feel weirdly guilty. Like you’re “falling behind.” I think it’s because we get wired for the goal and only the goal. Proper tunnel vision.

I founded my startup, Elixa.app, in October 2025 and since day one it’s been nonstop: day in, day out, weekends included, 8am to 2am the next day kind of rhythm. I had a holiday booked that I wasn’t even excited for, just a weekend trip to Wales for a friend’s birthday. But honestly, it ended up being the best reset I’ve had in years.

We went to Snowdonia, and something just clicked. I came back with my love for the business reignited, ideas flowing again, and I just felt happier. It’s mad how quickly your brain unclogs when you step away.

I’d genuinely recommend it to other founders. No clue yet whether it translates into “real” results long term, but I can say I’m working 100x happier, 100x faster, and feeling way more fulfilled as a person and as an entrepreneur.

My advice: take a break once in a while. Your competition probably does too. We’re all human.
