I'm a self-taught programmer and work in biotech / finance, so have pretty much no formal background in design, development or marketing. I often ask the IH community for help and I'm often blow away by how helpful people are.
I just wanted to shoutout a few people who have helped me out recently. These people gave me detailed, highly actionable advice and I was blown away by their generosity and knowledge:
@vvdhout did a mockup that I used to redesign my landing page. My landing page was a mess: I'm a terrible designer, so the site looked amateurish, and was also changing the focus of my business, so the copy was unclear and unfocused. His redesign was simple and clear, so I could have a clean landing page as a placeholder while I worked out what I wanted to do with my site: https://www.baybridgebio.com/
@sobbuh gave me really comprehensive and actionable feedback on redesigning my landing page. My landing page was functional, but didn't look clean or professional. The feedback was super detailed and easy to follow and I was able to implement it in an afternoon: https://www.baybridgebio.com/consulting.html
@ptrei gave me an insane amount of feedback on content marketing and SEO, from the technical to the qualitative. I was able to implement a ton of the feedback quickly, and some I'm continuing to work on (repacking content, link building, etc)
Thanks again to all those who help others and make this a great community! The IH community gives you indiehacking superpowers!
Hey, happy I could help. :)
Anytime 🙏
