The best way to find the best indie projects/side hustles

Hey fellows

Quick question - i've been trying to find a few different products for some specific needs. And I'm struggling to pick the right one.

For ex:

1. I wanted an online self-serve analytics tool. I really like and now use Plausible. But, it took me a lot of time and trial and error to shortlist and select Plausible.

2. Similarly - have been looking for an SEO tool for a while. Unable to pick the right one.

3. Same story for picking a twitter scheduling/ analytics tool. I tried most of the tools that I could find. (Most of them discovered on IH)

4. I've also been looking for a habit tracker / time tracker / productivity tool. Really like Tick tick for habits, but not for time tracking. I recently stumbled upon timeular which I learnd about via a reddit post

I'm not saying find the right tool / solution is impossible, but it takes too long.

Finding reviews, success stories, comparison, and the answer to "is-this-right-for-me" is very tough and time consuming. The only way to is to go deep while searching on communities like IH, Reddit, etc.

How do you discover and select the product of choice especially when you have too many options, and also when the options you're considering are not the famous/multi-million-dollar companies.
