Interesting product. Expired domains are usually discussed through the SEO lens: backlinks, authority, age, spam history, etc.

Do you see users mostly hunting for SEO assets, or are some of them looking for brandable names they might actually build a product around?

Those feel like different jobs: one is β€œis this domain valuable for traffic,” the other is β€œis this name worth pursuing as a brand.”

Great question β€” and you're right, they really are two different jobs.

Most of what's out there is built for the SEO buyer: DA, backlink profile, spam score, age. Useful, but it misses a whole segment who aren't chasing traffic β€” they want a name that already feels established, has some cultural weight, or fits a product they're building.

Domain Hunter tries to serve both, but the brandability angle is honestly the more interesting problem. SEO signals are well-documented. Whether a name is worth building something around is much harder to score β€” it's about memorability, category fit, and whether the name does work without explanation.

Curious what draws you to the distinction β€” are you coming at this from the brand side?
