The first Card Challenge is out.

Hey Hackers! đź‘‹

I’ve been working on GlowGrid, a small side project that tries to bridge software and hardware. Easy to use for non-technical people with a strong ecosystem potential :).

Happy to announce that the first challenge is out:

Create pixel art, animate it with frames, and learn how instructions, sequences, and repetition work.

The challenge format is interesting because it’s doing more than teaching pixel art — it’s using something visual on the hardware to introduce programming concepts.

I’d be curious whether beginners actually complete the challenge and then move on to creating something of their own. That transition from “I followed the tutorial” to “I can build with this” seems like an important one to validate.

The software-and-hardware angle makes GlowGrid different from a typical pixel-art project. Curious what people find most engaging about the first challenge.
