Hey Indie Hackers đź‘‹
For years I tried to brute-force my way through projects — long nights, endless caffeine, chaotic bursts of motivation. It worked… until it didn’t.
This year I’ve been experimenting with something radically simpler:
designing my life around tiny, repeatable habits instead of big heroic sprints.
And the weirdest part?
It’s working way better.
What changed
I stopped treating “productivity” as something you do at your desk and started shaping my environment, routines, and energy around small systems I can’t break:
2-minute planning every morning
A fixed shutdown routine (screens off → light stretching → read 10 pages)
No sleep heroics — I protect it like a product launch
Tiny daily reps for everything (writing 100 words, researching 1 insight, shipping 1 improvement)
Nothing dramatic. Just consistency without pain.
The surprising unlock
When I started tracking how sleep and micro-habits were affecting my work, I realized something obvious in hindsight:
Better rest = better judgment.
Better judgment = better decisions.
Better decisions = faster progress with less effort.
That’s what pushed me to build The Tiny Sleep Method — a $2 little guide that helps anyone (especially founders) improve sleep without “5 AM club” madness or perfect routines. It’s the simplest thing I’ve ever made, but it’s already changed the way I work.
Why I’m sharing this
Because so many of us think we need to push harder when the real breakthrough comes from making life easier to perform well in.
If you're building, recovering from burnout, or redesigning your lifestyle, consider shrinking your goals until they fit inside your day without resistance.
Tiny > Intense.
Repeatable > Heroic.
Happy Saturday, hackers — what tiny habits are moving the needle for you lately?
