I know how important meditation is for Indie Hackers. Many of us practice it regularly. Meditation has been such a powerful tool for me over the years, helping me manage anxiety and stress and bringing a sense of calm into my life.
Recently, my younger sister has been going through something similar. I really wanted to help her get into meditation because I know how helpful it can be. However, she’s been struggling to stick with it.
She’s always loved spending time in nature — we grew up in the countryside, and being outdoors has always been her way of recharging. But now she’s living in Minneapolis, and she doesn’t get that same connection to nature anymore.
That got me thinking: What if I created a meditation that combines mindfulness with the feeling of being in nature? So, I gave it a try. I recorded a guided meditation that combines mindfulness and a peaceful walk in nature. I called it “The Calm Meadow at Sunrise.”
I would love to hear your feedback, especially on what I can improve! :)
I like the idea of questioning what meditation needs to look like rather than assuming there is only one “right” way to practice.
For people with busy schedules, the biggest barrier is often the expectation that meditation requires a specific place, posture, duration, or perfectly quiet mind. Making the practice more accessible can help people discover that awareness can be developed in ordinary moments too.
What matters to me is whether a new approach encourages genuine awareness rather than simply becoming another productivity technique. Meditation can be valuable precisely because it gives us a chance to notice what is happening within us without immediately trying to fix or optimize it.
The interesting question is not just whether this is a new way to meditate, but whether it helps people carry that awareness into the rest of their day.
