Thinking about mailing lists

Hey guys,

I've started to play around with the idea of creating a new platform for creating and sending mailing lists, purely for content creators.

I want to focus mainly on these points:

  1. Pay as you go plan - Pay for only what you use. No fixed costs. This would make it cheaper for people who are just getting started. $1 for every issue up to 10 issues/month, $0.9 for 10-20 issues, $0.8 for 20+.

  2. Enabling paid subscriptions - I would like to allow each creator to connect their payment methods (Paypal, Stripe) so they could receive 100% of subscription fees directly to their account.

  3. Focus on privacy - no tracking pixels! I wish to create more meaningful insights by adding buttons for content rating. Opening rates say pretty much nothing about the quality of the content.

There are some more issues I have in mind, such as using your own email address, online access to all issues, and more.

It would mean a lot for me to read your thoughts. Mostly, I'm wondering if the market too saturated? Will it be impossible to move people away from their current providers/platform?

Thanks and have a great week
