Tinder for hackers

Hi, indie hackers, this is my first post. I was inspired by the community here and instead of learning a technology (graph databases in this case) in a vacuum I decided to build a small application (https://www.matchandhack.com/), which you might find useful.

It's a peer matching application. By specifying pop-culture genres you like, your skills and collaboration goals, the application will suggest people with similar preferences. If there is a mutual like a match will be created and you will be able to create collaboration tracks together. Among those are exam preparation, side projects, mock interview, essay review, accountability sessions and so on.

Product slogan – "For every Harry, we will find Hermione and Ron". One of the advantages of going to university when compared to digital courses is the ability to interact with other students and learn faster thanks to those interactions. Peers, more than teachers, inspire us to learn article reports on research in this area. There is some indirect evidence of that in the fact that children of the immigrants acquire better proficiency of a foreign language than their parents.

Potential avenues for this product:

1. add mentors and ability to apply for mentorship in pairs or larger groups
2. companion tool for major digital courses providers like udemy or coursera
3. mentor pairs, teach together?

One of the product milestones is to find a cofounding team through the product. Let's bridge the gap between online and offline education/collaboration by having better peers.
